We gather to grow a coherent field, to walk our questions together, and to listen for what wants to emerge — so that our walking becomes a living answer.

Why are we gathering?

We are gathering to meet the times we are living in — deepening our capacity to be in right relationship with ourselves, each other, and the world. In a moment marked by disconnection, we are called toward a more integrated coherence — across our inner life, our relationships, our engagement with the wider world, and our embodied experience of the natural world.

This gathering invites a different kind of clarity — one that emerges from learning to stay present at the thresholds we are in, cultivating the steadiness, humility, and depth required to respond to life as it is unfolding.

This is an initiatory Wayfinding journey — less a workshop and more a lived crossing into a different way of being. Together, we will practice the art of standing at thresholds: remaining present in uncertainty, allowing clarity to arise, and letting that clarity inform wise action.

Through reflection, ritual, and relational practice, we will explore who we are beneath our roles and identities, while reorienting to a more natural rhythm of time and life.

This gathering is both a container and a community — one that invites us to experience ourselves not just in nature, but as part of a living, interconnected field.

What is the gathering?

Who is it for?

  • This gathering is for those who feel called to deepen their contribution in a rapidly changing and uncertain world.
  • It is for coaches, leaders, mentors, and catalysts — particularly those in moments of transition — who are willing to engage uncertainty, tend to their inner life, and stand in meaningful thresholds.
  • It is for those who long for real connection, honest conversation, and a more grounded way of being and leading.
  • It is for those who sense that something new is emerging and want to participate in its unfolding with intention and care.

What will we bring home?

  • Connection, clarity, and coherence that reshapes how we move through our work, communities, and lives.
  • A deeper way of being — supported by practices, perspective, and a community committed to living and leading with presence, responsibility, and heart.
  • Grief as a doorway to love — and a more intimate relationship with your Self, the natural world, all of Life, and time itself.
  • Capacity to navigate uncertainty without force or collapse — to stand in thresholds with steadiness and allow clarity to emerge before acting.

Where we are gathering

Mount Tamalpais and the Marin Headlands

Mount Tamalpais and the Marin Headlands are magical places where nature and culture meet. The land invites both outer exploration and inner reflection. Our walks will pass through the traditional homelands of the Ohlone people, who have long held this land as sacred. Over the decades and centuries, many others have also been drawn here by a sense of possibility — for their own lives and for life itself.

Our venue: Willow Camp Lodge

Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the slopes of Mount Tamalpais, Willow Camp invites us into a different rhythm of time.

Gardens, winding paths, and evenings around the fire create a setting where conversation deepens, silence becomes spacious, and connection unfolds naturally. Willow Camp is a place that quietly supports reflection, community, and renewal.

Wayfinding & Vision Quests

For more than four decades, I've walked alongside leaders of visionary organizations across five continents. Leaders come to me when facing major life and organizational transitions at the edge of their capabilities. What often remains after my work is an organization where people feel more deeply connected to each other and purpose, and leaders with greater capacity to be the "calm in the eye of the storm."

My approach is integral and whole-systems, deeply inspired by my lifelong relationship with the natural world. I walk in nature most days through a practice called Wayfinding — allowing our questions to become living answers.

Wayfinding & Leadership Guide

For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by how people — and the organizations and cultures they create — learn, grow, and change. That curiosity has shaped everything: 25 years of practicing and teaching Aikido, a lifelong relationship with the natural world, and decades of coaching and consulting work.

Aikido taught me that how we move through resistance matters as much as where we're trying to go. The patterns that govern a forest or a watershed are the ones I see playing out in our organizations and society — that recognition is at the heart of my work.

Executive Coach & End-of-Life Guide

I walk with people through the thresholds that matter most — boardrooms and bedsides, seasons of change and seasons of loss. As an Executive Coach, certified End-of-Life Coach, Death Doula, and practitioner of Navigating Polarities, I bring decades of experience alongside leaders and individuals facing complexity and transformation.

My work is rooted in a simple, yet not easy, principle: our greatest gifts are often hidden in what we most avoid. Through tending my own losses, I've come to trust the kinship between grief and gratitude, the closeness of joy and sorrow, and the way heartbreak can open us to love.

Our deeper intention

Mount Tamalpais rising above the surrounding hills

For more than fifteen years, Wayfinding has transformed our lives and the lives of many of the people we serve. Time and again, we have witnessed what becomes possible when people bring life's deepest questions into the depth and silence of nature. In nature's mirror, they encounter their own deep nature, discover new meaning, and find unexpected paths forward.

We believe this practice is needed now more than ever. As we navigate this "time between worlds," we feel called to steward Wayfinding as both a deep personal practice and a living body of work that can serve a world longing for greater connection, clarity, and coherence. Our hope is to cultivate a community of coaches and practitioners who are developing this practice together — learning from one another, deepening their relationship with nature, and bringing its wisdom into the lives of those they serve.

Our gathering in October is an opportunity to deepen our own practice while planting the seeds of this larger intention.
